Oscar Fashion… You can make predictions but never know quite what to expect. However, Oscar night 2020 consisted of a variety of luscious looks with celebrities bringing their best self to the red carpet. Some gowns were sleek and minimal while a few were adorned with embroidery, embellishments, and Old Hollywood Glamour. I found the makeup to be quite natural for the most part as well as the hair. Overall, the stars came dressed to impress. Here are 5 looks that we thought were stunning.
Brie Larson wore Celine (https://www.celine.com/en-us/home) by Hedi Simone and Bulgari jewelry. Larson shined in an icy pink sequin caped dress with over 120,000 sequins, 110,000 glass beads, and 13,000 Swarovski crystals. This shade of pink was a trend of the night.
Scarlett Johansson in a gorgeous Oscar de la Renta (https://www.oscardelarenta.com) Couture Metallic Strapless Gown with a slightly deconstructed waist…….Stunning!! The train is a perfect adornment.
Natalie Portman in Dior Haute Couture (https://www.dior.com/en_us) which consisted of a black and gold ensemble featuring a cape and gold embellishments. This ensemble had intricate details and rich colors.
Janelle Monae was dramatic in a custom crystal-lacquered silk lame tulle Ralph Lauren (https://www.ralphlauren.com) mesh evening dress. The draped hood added a beautiful effect and the gown was fully hand-embroidered with 168, 000 Swarovski crystals. This gown is true artistry.
Renee Zellweger stayed simple in a one-shouldered Armani Couture (https://www.armani.com/us/) white dress covered in stunning beading. Her makeup and hair were very minimal, which gave the look a very natural feel.
All the women here are a gorgeous example of taking a risk while staying true to who they are. They are trendsetters, trailblazers and make a unique mark.
